Role Overview
We are looking for a Social Media Associate to manage and grow DeFi Planet’s online presence. You will create engaging content, interact with our community, and help build our brand across multiple social media channels. This role requires creativity, strong communication skills, and a genuine interest in Web3, blockchain, and cryptocurrencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage social media accounts on platforms including Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Telegram, and Discord.
- Create engaging content, such as reels, animated videos, memes, and posts, tailored for each platform.
- Respond to comments, messages, and interactions in a timely and professional manner.
- Curate trending news on Crypto, DeFi, Blockchain, and Web3 for content development.
- Monitor analytics and use insights to improve content performance and engagement.
- Maintain a consistent brand voice and professional presence across all channels.
- Assist the editorial team with SEO, keyword optimization, and publishing articles on the website.
- Collaborate with graphic designers to produce visuals for social media and publications.
- Implement digital marketing strategies including social media advertising, email campaigns, SEO, SEM, and PPC.
- Stay updated with blockchain regulations, public policy, and industry developments.
- Support business development initiatives and maintain positive relationships with partners and stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Media, IT, or related field.
- Native-level English proficiency with strong communication skills.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, content creation, and SEO.
- Strong interest in blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, and Web3.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Curious, proactive, and motivated to learn emerging technologies like AI and data science.
Desirable:
- Experience with WordPress or similar CMS platforms.
- Previous work experience in a publication, media company, or crypto/DeFi organization.
- Knowledge of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency ecosystems.
- Proven track record in growing social media audiences.
Soft Skills:
- Self-motivated and curious.
- Proactive with a problem-solving mindset.
- Eager to contribute to the growth of a blockchain startup.
Salary
N120,000 per month, plus discretionary bonus.
