Location: Maiduguri, Borno
Job Overview
We are seeking a Communication Intern to support our communications and social media strategies. The selected candidate will help manage our key social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn. They will also assist in content creation, press relations, and advocacy campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Support the execution of the organization’s communication and social media strategies.
- Manage and update social media channels with relevant content.
- Assist in the development of publications, publicity materials, and press releases.
- Collaborate with the Communications Advisor to enhance media engagement.
- Contribute to advocacy efforts by producing compelling digital content.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communications, Multimedia Design, Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field.
- At least one year of experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Fireworks).
- Experience working with IDPs, refugees, and vulnerable populations is an advantage.
- Strong creative and design skills with the ability to deliver projects within deadlines.
