Role Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced HEMM Maintenance Manager (Electrical) to join our team at Dangote Cement Plc in Obajana. In this vital role, you will take charge of maintaining the electrical systems of our Heavy Earth Moving Machinery (HEMM) to ensure peak performance and minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute preventive and corrective maintenance strategies for HEMM electrical systems
  • Supervise all electrical maintenance operations, ensuring adherence to safety standards
  • Lead and support a team of engineers and technicians in troubleshooting and repair work
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and manage inventory of electrical components
  • Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency
  • Ensure all work aligns with health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Identify recurring equipment issues and provide long-term solutions
  • Manage budgeting and planning for electrical maintenance needs
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors when necessary
Required Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance of HEMM or similar heavy-duty equipment
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Strong technical knowledge of HEMM electrical systems
  • Solid troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Proficiency in maintenance software and MS Office
  • In-depth understanding of safety and environmental regulations
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Highly organized with a focus on quality and efficiency
