Job Title: Pharmacist
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Working Schedule: 4 days a week, 8 AM – 8 PM (random shifts)
Job Description
As a community pharmacist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that patients receive the best possible care and outcomes through the proper use of medicines. You will utilize your expert knowledge of medications to support patients in maintaining and improving their health in a cost-effective manner.
Your responsibilities will include dispensing both prescription and over-the-counter medications, providing advice on their proper use, and ensuring the safety and quality of all medications. Additionally, you will collaborate with a team of pharmacy technicians and assistants to deliver exceptional pharmacy services in a supportive and professional environment.
Community pharmacists typically work in high street pharmacies, either part of a chain or independent, or in a doctor’s practice or health center.
Key Responsibilities
As a community pharmacist, your key duties will include:
- Dispensing prescription and over-the-counter medications to the public
- Reviewing prescriptions to ensure accuracy, dosage, and safety
- Supervising the preparation of medications when required
- Maintaining accurate pharmacy records, patient profiles, and inventories
- Keeping a register of controlled drugs for legal and stock control purposes
- Collaborating with doctors and healthcare professionals to evaluate the effectiveness of medications
- Providing advice on medications, side effects, and minor ailments
- Offering guidance on healthcare topics such as vaccinations, smoking cessation, blood pressure monitoring, and diabetes
- Managing pharmacy finances, including budgets for medicines and supplies
- Ordering and purchasing pharmaceutical supplies while maintaining stock levels and proper storage
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy
- 1 – 2 years of relevant work experience
Salary
N300,000 monthly
