Cloud Engineer at Technology Managed Services Organization

We are partnering with a leading technology managed services organization to recruit a skilled Cloud Engineer to join their team. If you are experienced in AWS, Terraform, Terragrunt, and Kubernetes (EKS), this role offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative cloud infrastructure projects in a fully remote setting.

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Fixed-term contract (initial 3 months, with potential for extension)
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
Remote Work Requirements: Reliable fibre internet connection and backup power supply

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Build Cloud Infrastructure: Utilize Terraform and Terragrunt to design and manage scalable cloud infrastructure.
• Provision Kubernetes Clusters: Maintain and manage Kubernetes clusters via Amazon EKS to ensure high availability and performance.
• Automate Cloud Operations: Use Bash scripting to automate cloud operations and deployment workflows for efficiency.
• Optimize AWS Environments: Focus on security, performance, and cost efficiency while managing AWS cloud resources.
• Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with development and DevOps teams to support and streamline cloud-native deployments.
• Troubleshoot Cloud Infrastructure Issues: Proactively identify and resolve any challenges in the cloud environment.

Requirements

Candidate Profile:

• Proven expertise in Terraform, Terragrunt, and AWS cloud services.
• Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes and EKS.
• Proficient in using Bash scripting for task automation.
• Strong understanding of cloud security practices and policies.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have):

• AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer).
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized application management.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and automation pipelines.

Salary

₦1,200,000 – ₦1,400,000 Monthly
