Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Account Manager to oversee the accounting department. This role ensures accurate financial record-keeping, regulatory compliance, and effective management of financial processes. The ideal candidate will be organized, analytical, and capable of leading a team of finance professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.
• Manage creditors, debtors, and monitor outstanding payments to ensure cash flow health.
• Oversee invoicing, bank reconciliations, and payment processing.
• Ensure timely remittance of statutory obligations such as VAT, PAYE, and WHT.
• Support management in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors and regulatory authorities.
• Maintain effective internal controls and financial policies.
• Guide and supervise accounting officers, cashiers, and finance support staff.

Qualifications and Skills

• B.Sc or HND in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Account Manager or in a similar finance role.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
