Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Account Officer to handle financial transactions, manage budgets, and ensure accurate record-keeping. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the company’s financial integrity, supporting decision-making with accurate reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting transactions, including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
• Conduct regular financial audits to ensure accuracy in financial records and compliance with company policies
• Prepare and present periodic financial statements such as balance sheets and income statements
• Develop and manage departmental budgets and financial forecasts
• Prepare financial reports for management meetings and investors
• Handle tax computations and prepare tax returns
• Monitor and enforce compliance with financial regulations and internal control systems
• Support internal and external audit processes
• Stay informed on changes in financial legislation and industry practices

Qualifications and Skills

• BSc or HND in Accounting or related field
• Proven work experience as an Account Officer or in a similar accounting role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
• Proficiency in financial software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and time management abilities
• High ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality

Salary

N100,000 – N150,000 monthly
