Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Account Officer to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, setting up accounting systems, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This position requires a professional with a strong understanding of accounting procedures, software proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple financial functions efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and maintain effective accounting systems and financial procedures.

  • Handle payroll processing, pension remittances, and tax filing functions.

  • Conduct inventory reconciliation and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.

  • Prepare management reports and financial statements to support business decisions.

  • Manage office accounting operations, ensuring compliance with company standards.

  • Maintain integrity in all financial dealings and uphold strong ethical standards.

  • Support financial planning, budgeting, and internal control processes.

Qualifications and Skills
  • B.Sc./HND in Accounting or related field.

  • Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, ANAN) preferred.

  • 3–7 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or related industry.

  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Peachtree, QuickBooks, or Sage.

  • Strong knowledge of payroll, pension, and tax functions.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

  • High integrity, strong work ethics, and the ability to work independently.

  • Experience in inventory reconciliation and financial planning.

Salary

₦250,000 – ₦280,000 monthly (depending on experience and role level).
