Job Summary

ReelFruit is hiring an Accounts Payable Officer to handle invoice processing, vendor payments, petty cash management, and financial reconciliations. This role is essential for ensuring smooth financial operations and maintaining compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable Management
  • Process vendor invoices accurately with proper documentation and approvals.
  • Manage and reconcile vendor accounts, resolving disputes promptly.
  • Monitor accounts payable transactions to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Ensure timely vendor payments while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
  • Process and reconcile staff expense reimbursements according to company policies.
  • Assist in tracking and executing bank-related instructions.
Petty Cash Management
  • Oversee and manage petty cash disbursement in Lagos and regional offices.
  • Reconcile petty cash accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Monitor cash flow to ensure funds are available for business operations.
Reconciliation & Reporting
  • Perform regular reconciliation of vendor statements, bank transactions, and accounts payable records.
  • Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports.
  • Support audits by providing necessary financial documentation.
Compliance & Internal Controls
  • Ensure all financial transactions comply with tax laws and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documents.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
  • Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is an added advantage.
  • 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable, preferably in manufacturing or food processing.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
