Role Overview

We are looking for an Assistant Production Officer to support the Production Officer in managing daily operations for the production of building blocks and machinery. This role involves monitoring production processes, ensuring quality standards, troubleshooting equipment issues, and improving overall efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Production Officer in overseeing the manufacturing team and production processes.
• Help plan and implement production schedules to meet project timelines and customer demand.
• Monitor daily production activities and suggest ways to improve workflow and efficiency.
• Assist in enforcing quality control measures to ensure products meet specifications.
• Troubleshoot machinery and coordinate with maintenance teams to resolve issues quickly.
• Train and guide production staff on operating procedures and safety protocols.
• Analyze production data and prepare reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Conduct routine machinery inspections and report any faults or irregularities.
• Work with departments like Purchasing and Inventory to align production needs.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance operational performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in block production and machinery troubleshooting.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
• Familiarity with machinery operations and maintenance procedures.

Salary

₦100,000 – ₦150,000 per month
