Position Overview: AutoCad Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled AutoCad Engineer to join our team. As an AutoCad Engineer, you will be responsible for producing precise design drawings and ensuring the integrity of project deliverables. You will play a key role in collaborating with teams to execute projects efficiently and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely completion of drawings and manage drawing revisions.
  • Prepare and oversee cutting durations and control cutting activities.
  • Maintain weekly cutting plans and track cutting history, including materials.
  • Manage site control, ensuring proper work area setup and equipment maintenance.
  • Monitor workers’ attendance and maintain accurate reports.
  • Establish filing guidelines for drawings to ensure they remain current.
  • Update existing drawings to reflect design changes.
  • Create detailed design documentation based on project requirements.
  • Design or redesign complex layouts and drawings from specifications.
  • Produce CAD drawings for new or improved products, adhering to industry and departmental standards.
  • Collaborate with the project team to meet deadlines and stay within budget.
  • Review design layouts for compatibility with basic design concepts and resolve any issues.
  • Participate in design reviews to evaluate concepts and make recommendations.
  • Interpret 2D and 3D drawings effectively.
  • Prepare isometric drawings for piping connections.
  • Make corrections to drawings as directed by the line manager.
  • Propose alternative design concepts to meet customer needs.
  • Generate NC code for CNC machines based on design drawings.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve design issues.
  • Assist in monitoring fabrication and rigging activities.
  • Specify materials, dimensions, and procedures for new product drawings.
  • Accurately calculate dimensions and allowances.
  • Prepare installation and dimensional drawings.
  • Maintain design notes, calculations, and related documentation for future reference.
