Role Overview

We are seeking a diligent and customer-focused Cashier to manage daily cash transactions efficiently and accurately. The successful candidate will handle payments, issue receipts, balance cash drawers, and maintain accurate financial records in compliance with company standards. This position also requires providing excellent customer service and supporting store operations when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive payments from customers in cash, by card, or through electronic transfers.

• Issue receipts, refunds, and change accurately and promptly.

• Maintain a balanced cash drawer and reconcile transactions at the end of each shift.

• Record and verify all sales transactions using the company’s point-of-sale (POS) system.

• Prepare and submit daily cash reports to the accountant or supervisor.

• Ensure accuracy and accountability in all financial dealings.

• Handle customer inquiries and provide professional assistance.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area.

• Report any discrepancies, suspicious activity, or technical issues immediately.

• Support inventory management by reporting low stock or returned items.

• Comply with all company financial and operational policies.

Key Performance Indicators

• Accuracy in handling cash and maintaining records.

• Timely reconciliation and submission of daily reports.

Qualifications and Skills

• OND, HND, or B.Sc. in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Previous experience as a cashier, teller, or in a similar financial role is an advantage.

• Female candidates between the ages of 24 and 28 are preferred.

• Strong numerical and analytical skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and POS software.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• High level of attention to detail, integrity, and honesty.

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and as part of a team.

• Must reside in LifeCamp or nearby areas in Abuja.

Salary

₦60,000 – ₦80,000 monthly
