Role Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and responsible Cleaner to join our team at Equity Specialist Hospital and Diagnostic Centre. The Cleaner will be responsible for ensuring that the hospital environment remains clean, hygienic, and safe for patients, staff, and visitors. This role plays an important part in maintaining the hospital’s high standards of hygiene and infection control.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect hospital areas such as wards, offices, consultation rooms, restrooms, and common areas

• Sweep, mop, dust, and polish floors, furniture, and surfaces regularly

• Dispose of medical and non-medical waste in line with hospital procedures

• Refill supplies including soap, tissues, and sanitizers in restrooms and staff areas

• Report damages, maintenance issues, or safety concerns to the Facility or Admin Manager

• Prepare and organize rooms for patients, staff, or meetings as required

• Follow all infection prevention and control guidelines

• Ensure cleaning tools and materials are properly used, maintained, and stored

• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while working in all hospital areas

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of SSCE or equivalent qualification

• Previous cleaning experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting

• Knowledge of cleaning agents, disinfectants, and cleaning equipment

• Understanding of hygiene and infection control procedures

• Physically fit and able to carry out manual cleaning tasks

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work

• Good communication and teamwork skills

Salary

N60,000 – N70,000 per month
