Role Overview

The Compliance Manager will oversee regulatory adherence across the organization. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining compliance programs in line with industry standards, legal requirements, and internal policies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in navigating financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance

• Monitor and interpret financial regulations and industry guidelines

• Communicate relevant regulatory updates across departments

• Collaborate with legal and regulatory teams to resolve compliance-related issues

• Support implementation of Enterprise Risk Management frameworks

• Develop and update compliance policies and procedures

Training and Policy Enforcement

• Conduct employee training on compliance standards

• Ensure organization-wide enforcement of compliance policies

Monitoring and Reporting

• Maintain systems for ongoing compliance monitoring

• Prepare and submit compliance reports to management and regulators

• Track and escalate potential breaches

Administration and Support

• Oversee general office administration and documentation

• Organize meetings, files, and onboarding processes

• Coordinate with legal and company secretarial teams

Communication and Culture Building

• Promote a strong culture of compliance

• Serve as the primary contact for compliance-related inquiries

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (minimum 3 years post-call experience)

• Experience in financial services such as asset management, investment, equity, or banking is an added advantage

• Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance frameworks

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong relationship-building and organizational skills

• Proficient in evaluating internal controls
