Role Overview
The Consumer Banking & Payroll Lending Officer will be responsible for acquiring and managing customers within the consumer banking and payroll lending segment. The role involves sourcing clients, evaluating loan applications, monitoring loan performance, and providing excellent customer service while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Acquire new customers for consumer banking and payroll loan products
Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, payroll partners, and individual clients
Evaluate and process loan applications in line with credit policies
Monitor loan performance and support repayment recovery processes
Cross-sell savings, current accounts, and digital banking services
Provide financial advisory and ensure customer satisfaction
Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
Prepare periodic performance and acquisition reports
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
2–4 years’ experience in retail or consumer banking, payroll lending, or credit operations
Strong knowledge of loan origination, underwriting, and risk assessment
Demonstrated experience in sales or business development
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
High integrity with keen attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and core banking applications
