Role Overview

We are looking for a Beauty-Inclined Content and Social Media Intern to join our creative team. The ideal candidate is passionate about beauty, understands digital trends, and knows how to create engaging, SEO-optimized content.

This role is perfect for recent graduates of Marketing, Mass Communication, Media Studies, English, or related fields who want to grow in beauty content creation, SEO writing, and digital publishing.

Key Responsibilities

• Write SEO-optimized beauty blog posts, including listicles and seasonal content (keyword guidance provided).

• Use AI tools responsibly to support content creation through prompting and editing.

• Create visuals for blog topics and Pinterest posts.

• Design social media graphics using Canva templates while maintaining brand consistency.

• Schedule and manage content using Meta Business Suite, Pinterest Scheduler, and Plann.

• Craft Pinterest pin titles, descriptions, and hashtags following SEO and keyword direction.

• Research seasonal beauty trends (e.g., Fall glam, festival braids, nude lip combos) and propose creative content ideas.

• Ensure all content aligns with Black Beauty Rep’s tone—beauty-positive, fun, educational, and inclusive.

Qualifications and Skills

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience using WordPress or other content management systems.

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Journalism, Media, or related field.

• Basic understanding of SEO (keywords, meta descriptions, content formatting).

• Proficiency in Canva and other design tools.

• Familiarity with Pinterest as a search and trend platform.

• Comfort using AI tools for content productivity.

Strongly Preferred:

• A personal interest in beauty, makeup, hair trends, skincare, and protective styling for Black women.

• Experience using Pinterest Creators Tool, Instagram Threads, or Meta Business Suite.

• Ability to format content effectively for SEO and Pinterest search visibility.

• Demonstrated creativity, initiative, and a genuine love for content creation.

• Active or past experience running a beauty page or Pinterest account (a major advantage).

Salary

This is an internship/contract position. Compensation details will be discussed with shortlisted candidates based on experience and scope of engagement.
