Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Data Science Instructor to join our growing academic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data science concepts and practical experience applying analytical tools and techniques. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, guiding hands-on projects, and mentoring aspiring data scientists to achieve academic and career success.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver comprehensive lessons on SQL, Python programming, statistics, machine learning, and data visualization.

• Conduct interactive lectures, workshops, and practical sessions to ensure students gain real-world experience.

• Design course materials, exercises, and capstone projects aligned with industry best practices.

• Provide individualized guidance, feedback, and mentorship to support each student’s progress.

• Evaluate student performance and maintain accurate records of assessments.

• Stay current with emerging trends, tools, and technologies in data science to ensure course relevance.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.

• Proven experience as a Data Scientist or similar role with expertise in data analysis, visualization, and machine learning.

• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and preferably R or related tools.

• Strong understanding of machine learning frameworks and libraries such as Scikit-learn, Pandas, and Matplotlib.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.

• Prior experience in teaching, mentoring, or facilitating training programs is an added advantage.

• Must currently reside in Ibadan and be available for full-time, on-site engagement.
