Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and secure the company’s databases. The ideal candidate will ensure optimal database performance, data integrity, and system reliability while supporting business operations and development teams. Experience within the banking or financial services sector will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain all company databases, ensuring availability, performance, and security.
• Implement and monitor backup, recovery, and replication strategies.
• Perform database tuning, indexing, and query optimization to improve efficiency.
• Troubleshoot database-related issues and coordinate with development teams for timely resolution.
• Monitor system performance and implement changes to improve database reliability.
• Ensure compliance with data protection policies and security standards.
• Prepare technical documentation and database reports for management and audit purposes.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to support data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Database Administrator — experience in the banking sector is a plus.
• Strong proficiency in Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server administration.
• Familiarity with backup/recovery tools, database replication, and tuning techniques.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to data security.
