Job Details

We are hiring a Design Architect who will bring creative ideas and technical expertise to our projects. The successful candidate will play a major role in conceptualizing, planning, and executing design-build projects while ensuring they meet high standards of safety, functionality, and aesthetics.

Role Overview

The Design Architect will work closely with clients and project teams to develop innovative and practical design solutions. The role involves overseeing all stages of the design process — from concept to completion — while ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Design Development

• Work with clients to understand their design needs and objectives.
• Translate client ideas into functional and creative design concepts.
• Prepare detailed architectural drawings, floor plans, and 3D visualizations.
• Ensure all designs comply with safety standards, building codes, and regulations.
• Integrate wellness, sustainability, and functionality into every design.

Collaboration and Communication

• Present design concepts to clients and address feedback effectively.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and team members to ensure project success.
• Attend project meetings and conduct site visits to monitor progress and maintain design accuracy.

Risk Management

• Develop and maintain a project risk management plan.
• Identify potential risks and recommend proactive solutions.
• Conduct regular risk assessment meetings with the design team.

Site Support

• Conduct site inspections and provide guidance during installation.
• Resolve design-related issues that arise during project execution.
• Work closely with contractors and artisans to ensure design intent is followed.

Research and Development

• Stay updated with emerging design trends, materials, and technologies.
• Explore sustainable and wellness-driven design approaches.

Leadership and Mentorship

• Guide junior designers and interns through project phases.
• Provide feedback and training to enhance team performance.

Material and Finish Selection

• Source sustainable, high-quality materials and finishes.
• Keep up with new materials and design innovations.

Compliance

• Ensure all designs meet health, safety, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in interior architecture or design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other design software.
• Strong understanding of space planning, materials, lighting, and color theory.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Good understanding of construction processes and documentation.
• Experience in luxury interior design is an advantage.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to travel for site visits when required.

Salary

₦300,000 – ₦400,000 per month.
