Role Overview
We’re currently looking for a creative and detail-oriented Design Architect (NYSC / Intern) to join our innovative design team. This is a great opportunity for an aspiring architect to gain hands-on experience in furniture design and space planning within a dynamic production environment.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside the design team to develop innovative furniture concepts that align with brand identity and market trends
- Produce detailed technical drawings, 3D models, and renderings for production use
- Research current design trends, materials, and methods to bring fresh ideas into our collections
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure accurate execution of design concepts
- Adhere to safety, ergonomic, and design standards in all work
- Coordinate with suppliers on selecting sustainable and cost-effective materials and finishes
- Contribute to design reviews and help optimize production workflows
- Manage design project timelines and deliverables efficiently
Requirements
- B.Sc., OND, or HND in Architecture or a related field
- 0–1 year of experience in furniture design or architectural design, ideally within a manufacturing setting
- Skilled in CAD tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Rhino
- A keen eye for design with a strong understanding of balancing function and aesthetics
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative team
