Role Overview

The Driver will be responsible for safely operating company vehicles, transporting goods and personnel, maintaining vehicle condition, and supporting logistics operations. The role requires strong driving skills, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and organisational policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate and maintain company vehicles in line with traffic regulations

• Transport goods, equipment, and personnel efficiently to assigned destinations

• Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance

• Plan and follow optimal routes to ensure timely delivery

• Load and unload goods or equipment safely and securely

• Provide professional customer service when interacting with clients and colleagues

• Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and maintenance

• Adhere to safety rules, emergency procedures, and first-aid protocols

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of assigned vehicles

• Ensure all vehicle documents, including license and insurance, remain valid

• Support transportation scheduling and coordination with logistics teams

• Report accidents, injuries, and traffic violations promptly

• Follow company policies regarding vehicle use and conduct

• Collaborate with logistics and supply chain teams to improve operations

• Stay informed about local traffic and road conditions affecting travel

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Valid driver’s license for the applicable vehicle type

• Proven years of experience as a professional driver

• Clean driving record with no major violations

• Knowledge of local and international traffic regulations

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail

• Ability to handle various types of cargo and equipment

• Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge

• Good problem-solving skills and adaptability

• Physical fitness for long hours on the road

• Proficiency with GPS and navigation systems

• Knowledge of local languages; multilingual ability is an added advantage
