Job Description
We are currently recruiting a qualified Electrical Field Technician to assist our project engineers in the engineering analysis, design, and commissioning of energy efficiency and renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Understand Sunhive’s project development and implementation methods.
- Install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems at various sites, ensuring compliance with project specifications, electrical codes, and safety regulations.
- Conduct extensive surveys to identify energy efficiency opportunities and potential savings.
- Utilize metering and measurement tools to gather and interpret data.
- Install Balance of System (BOS) components, including cables, cable trays, enclosures, MC4 connections, and mounting systems.
- Request necessary work permits, follow site procedures, and complete required forms and checklists.
- Monitor installations, troubleshoot issues, identify errors, and implement effective solutions.
- Generate detailed daily and weekly site reports.
- Complete all required paperwork and documentation, such as checklists and reports.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to company safety protocols.
Requirements
- HND or B.Eng Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Previous experience in solar installation is required.
- Comfortable working at heights and physically fit for site work.
- Strong knowledge of safety practices in the workplace and a quick learner.
- Proficient in oral and written English.
- Hands-on field experience with practical problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability for self-development and quick learning.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
