Job Title: English Teacher
Location: Gudu, Abuja (FCT)

Reports To: Vice Principal

Role Overview

The English Teacher will teach and guide students to develop their reading, writing, and communication skills. This role requires a passionate educator who can create engaging lessons, maintain a productive classroom environment, and encourage critical thinking and creativity among students.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach English Language using the approved school curriculum.
• Manage classroom activities effectively and maintain discipline.
• Prepare lesson plans and deliver interactive and engaging classes.
• Assess students regularly and provide constructive feedback.
• Encourage student participation and foster a positive learning atmosphere.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching strategies.
• Participate in school meetings, extracurricular activities, and academic planning sessions.
• Maintain accurate records of students’ academic progress.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related discipline (a Master’s degree is an added advantage).
• Minimum of four years of teaching experience in a reputable school.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Ability to use modern teaching tools and digital learning platforms.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for inspiring students.

Salary

₦250,000 – ₦300,000 per month.
