Job Title: Production Engineer
Location: Lagos (with travel to offshore facilities)
Job Summary
As a Production Engineer at ExxonMobil, you will play a critical role in asset development and operations, including support for machinery systems on FPSOs. You will work closely with operations and technical teams to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily surveillance of overall production and injection well performance
- Specify, evaluate, and monitor volume measurements throughout the asset lifecycle
- Focus on data quality, volume measurements, commissioning activities, and reliability
- Develop and align near-term production activities and volume plans
- Coordinate data gathering, maintenance, lifting, enhancement, and commissioning activities
- Provide input on shutdown planning to maximize value and optimize data collection
- Manage inventory and prioritize optimization opportunities to enhance asset value
- Collaborate with technical teams and centers for project coordination
- Identify and implement cost reduction strategies within production optimization principles
- Assess surface and subsurface opportunities, including artificial lift and flow assurance
- Maintain and update constraints maps and well inflow/outflow optimization opportunities
Requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, Petroleum Engineering, or Geology
- NYSC Completion Certificate
- Knowledge of:

- Integrated Surveillance and Optimization
- Operations Support and Facilities Surveillance
- Well Performance & Optimization
- Production Data Management
- Production Well Testing and Rate Measurement

Preferred Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in production optimization and engineering
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Excellent communication (written and verbal)
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities
- Initiative-driven and quick to apply learning
