Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Facility Manager to ensure the smooth operation, safety, and aesthetic excellence of our facility. This role is vital to maintaining the high standards of Whispers Art Haus by ensuring all systems, utilities, and equipment are functioning efficiently and beautifully.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance and functionality of building systems including lighting, HVAC, plumbing, and security

• Coordinate preventive maintenance and manage repairs promptly

• Manage vendor relationships, negotiate service contracts, and ensure compliance

• Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures for safety, cleaning, and emergency response

• Supervise cleaning, maintenance, and security personnel

• Conduct regular inspections to identify risks or improvement areas

• Collaborate with kitchen and operations teams to prevent equipment downtime

• Monitor facility budgets and recommend cost-saving strategies

• Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities

• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience in facility management or operations (hospitality experience preferred)

• Strong technical understanding of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire safety systems

• Proven experience managing staff, contractors, and vendors

• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and crisis management abilities

• Degree or Diploma in Facility Management, Engineering, or a related field

• Must currently reside in Abuja
