Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Fertility Consultant to join a reputable medical facility in Victoria Island, Lagos. The ideal candidate will provide expert medical care and guidance to patients seeking fertility treatment, ensuring high-quality reproductive health services.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and report test results and examination findings to diagnose patients’ conditions.
• Explain medical procedures and discuss test outcomes or treatment options with patients.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans when necessary.
• Perform caesarean sections and other surgical procedures as required for safe delivery and patient care.
• Prescribe and administer therapies, medications, and specialized medical treatments.
• Refer patients to other medical specialists when appropriate.
• Diagnose and treat diseases affecting female reproductive organs.
• Conduct and participate in research on reproductive treatments and medical innovations.
• Offer consulting support to other physicians and healthcare providers.
• Participate in clinical observerships, training programs, and supervise junior medical officers.
• Provide detailed explanations of fertility treatment options such as IVF, addressing patient concerns and expectations.
• Develop individualized fertility treatment plans tailored to patient needs and medical history.
• Collaborate with embryologists, nurses, and other team members to deliver integrated patient care.
• Perform reproductive procedures including egg retrieval and embryo transfer.
• Monitor and adjust medication protocols to improve treatment outcomes.
• Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests such as hormone assays, ultrasounds, and genetic screenings.
• Identify and address factors contributing to infertility.
• Offer emotional support and counseling to patients throughout their fertility journey.
• Stay informed on the latest advancements in reproductive medicine and contribute to research initiatives.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records including medical histories and examination reports.

Qualifications

• MBBS and FMCOG qualification required.
• Proven experience in fertility medicine and reproductive health.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Salary

₦1,000,000 – ₦1,500,000 per month (net), depending on experience.
