Position Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced and results-driven Finance Manager to join our Cement Transport Division. This role is vital in driving financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting processes that support strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will lead a team of finance professionals to ensure the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the division.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee cost management and budget control processes.
- Review and manage monthly provisions on general ledger (GL) accounts.
- Prepare Monthly Performance Reports (MPR) and reconcile stock records.
- Monitor stock receipts and issues, and report inconsistencies.
- Supervise monthly and quarterly stock counts.
- Post journal entries and ensure accurate month-end GL postings.
- Schedule accruals for audit readiness.
- Monitor store reservations and financial postings.
- Conduct payroll simulations and oversee payroll-related accounts.
- Reconcile material management (MM) and plant maintenance (PM) postings before period closure.
- Ensure accurate reconciliation of issues related to tyres, diesel (AGO), and spare parts.
- Settle orders from workshops into financial and costing ledgers using tools like KC08G, Ko88, and KOC4.
- Manage miscellaneous income and approved recoverables, including insurance claims.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- MBA or postgraduate degree in business, finance, or economics is an advantage.
- Professional certifications such as ACA or ACCA are required.
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in financial management or related roles.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of the cement manufacturing sector and its regulatory landscape.
- Expertise in accounting principles, including IFRS.
- Experience with accounting software and systems, especially SAP.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- High ethical standards and integrity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
