Position Overview: Finance Officer (FMCG Industry)
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Officer to support our financial operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting within the FMCG sector and will be responsible for financial documentation, reporting, reconciliation, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Record Keeping
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records
- Ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions
Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Process invoices and confirm financial data accuracy
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments
Reconciliation
- Reconcile bank and company accounts regularly
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in records
Financial Reporting
- Prepare periodic financial reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual)
- Support budget and forecast development
- Provide financial analysis to assist strategic decision-making
Compliance and Audit
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Support internal and external audit processes
Data Management and Support
- Maintain and improve financial databases and systems
- Work with other departments to ensure financial alignment
- Offer financial insights to management for business support
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2 – 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the FMCG industry
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle)
- Strong Excel skills and knowledge of financial reporting tools
