Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Junior Finance Officer to join our finance team. In this role, you will support the management of accounting records, financial transactions, and reporting processes that help drive our clean energy mission.

This opportunity is ideal for fresh graduates or early-career professionals with one to two years of experience in Accounting or Finance, who have completed their National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and are pursuing or have completed ICAN certification.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and budgets.
  • Record and maintain accurate financial transactions following accounting standards.
  • Support accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Assist with tax computations, filings, and regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in financial audits and prepare supporting documentation.
  • Support cost analysis and financial forecasting for better business decisions.
  • Maintain internal financial controls and documentation.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment between financial and business goals.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Completion of the 1-year NYSC program, with 1–2 years of work experience.
  • ICAN certification in progress or completed.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Preferred Skills

Candidates with the following experience will have an added advantage:

  • Practical knowledge of payment processing and vendor management.
  • Experience managing banking relationships for daily operations.
  • Proficient use of advanced Excel functions for financial analysis.
Salary and Benefits
