Position Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled Financial Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing financial data, identifying key trends, and providing actionable insights to inform strategic business decisions. Your role will involve collecting, interpreting, and presenting financial data, as well as identifying opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop financial models, support strategic initiatives, and contribute to key decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly and annual Transport Management Performance Reports (MPR).
  • Manage and prepare monthly cash calls and transport budgets.
  • Develop and maintain transport-related budgets and forecasts.
  • Regularly review trip distances, covered kilometers, and tonnage moved for daily reporting.
  • Review all account heads to ensure proper financial categorization.
  • Ensure accurate coding of paid vouchers into relevant general ledger (GL) accounts.
  • Maintain and organize project files and supporting documentation for accurate account coding.
  • Supervise the general ledger team to meet all financial reporting deadlines.
  • Review and communicate tax laws, planning, and ensure compliance.
  • Oversee financial reporting and the general ledger structure.
  • Manage intercompany account reconciliation and ensure accuracy.
  • Monitor GRIR and SIIR accounts in collaboration with the payable team.

Qualifications and Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • MBA in business, finance, economics, or statistics is an added advantage.
  • Relevant professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a related role.
  • Proven experience in quantitatively demanding roles.

Skills and Competencies

  • Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis techniques.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial principles, accounting practices, and financial reporting standards.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail, capable of interpreting complex financial data.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software (e.g., SAP). Experience with data visualization tools is a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
