Role Overview

The General Manager / Head of Radio Station will be responsible for the overall management and strategic direction of Glow FM Akure. This role involves supervising daily operations, leading the team, developing business strategies, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with broadcasting standards and regulations. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership abilities, deep industry knowledge, and proven experience in radio management.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and ensure smooth station performance.
• Develop and implement business growth strategies for the station.
• Manage and motivate staff to achieve performance goals.
• Ensure compliance with the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission (NBC) standards.
• Manage budgets and financial planning for operational efficiency.
• Analyze performance metrics and recommend improvements.
• Build relationships with partners, advertisers, and community stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication or a related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in a management role within a private radio station (as required by NBC).
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and business development.
• Must be available to work on-site in Akure.
