Role Overview

We are looking for a responsible, caring, and well-organized Hostel Master to manage the daily operations of a student hostel. The successful candidate will ensure that residents live in a safe, clean, and supportive environment while maintaining discipline and fostering positive behavior. This position requires a mature individual who can serve as both a supervisor and a mentor to students.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily activities of hostel residents and ensure compliance with hostel regulations.
• Maintain the cleanliness and proper upkeep of hostel facilities.
• Monitor the welfare, safety, and emotional well-being of all residents.
• Handle minor health or personal issues and report major cases when necessary.
• Keep accurate records of residents, visitors, and maintenance requirements.
• Communicate regularly with management, parents, and staff about student conduct and welfare.
• Oversee meal times and encourage proper behavior in dining and shared spaces.
• Enforce curfew, monitor attendance, and ensure punctuality.
• Help students adjust to hostel life and manage interpersonal challenges effectively.

Qualifications and Skills

• HND or Bachelor’s Degree in any field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory or caregiving role.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain discipline while showing empathy and fairness.
• Must be reliable, mature, and capable of guiding young students.

Salary

Monthly salary range: ₦90,000 – ₦100,000
