Job Title: HSE Officer
Location: Sango Ota, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Policy Development and Implementation: Create, execute, and maintain robust health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Risk Assessment: Perform detailed risk assessments to identify hazards and develop preventive measures.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Training and Awareness: Provide training sessions and awareness programs for employees on health, safety, and environmental topics.
  • Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents and incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Develop and maintain emergency response plans.
  • Environmental Management: Oversee and implement environmental management systems.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Disseminate health, safety, and environmental information to staff and stakeholders.
  • Monitoring and Auditing: Regularly monitor and audit health, safety, and environmental practices.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of incidents, audits, and training.
  • Continuous Improvement: Look for opportunities to improve health, safety, and environmental practices.
  • Liaison with Clients: Act as the point of contact for clients on safety-related matters.
  • Safety-Related Engineering Input: Provide input on safety considerations in new projects and modifications.
  • HAZOP Meetings: Participate in Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP) meetings before procurement and installation activities.
  • Day-to-Day Safety Management: Oversee daily health and safety operations on-site.
  • Risk Assessments: Complete and review risk assessments and COSHH assessments (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health).
  • Legislation Monitoring: Stay up-to-date with health and safety legislation and ensure business compliance with legal requirements.

Requirements

  • Candidates must possess relevant qualifications in health, safety, and environmental management.

Salary: N140,000 Monthly
