Role Overview

The HSE Project Lead will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing health, safety, and environmental strategies across project sites. This position plays a vital role in ensuring operational compliance with local and international standards, driving risk management initiatives, and promoting a culture of safety awareness among all team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with all HSE regulations, policies, and international standards such as ISO, OSHA, and DPR.

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety procedures, employee training programs, and emergency response plans.

• Conduct regular inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments on project sites.

• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, preparing detailed reports and recommending corrective measures.

• Monitor safety performance metrics to identify trends and ensure continuous improvement.

• Provide expert advice to project teams and management on minimizing risks and improving safety outcomes.

• Supervise and coordinate HSE Officers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure adherence to safety protocols.

• Lead regular safety audits, compliance checks, and training sessions.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related discipline.

• 4–7 years of experience in HSE management within the Oil and Gas or related industry.

• In-depth knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and other HSE frameworks.

• Proven experience leading safety initiatives on large-scale projects.

• Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.

• Professional HSE certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or ISPON are a strong advantage.

• Ability to work effectively in dynamic, fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
