Role Overview

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Biology Teacher to join our dedicated academic team. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality lessons for IGCSE and A-Level students, inspire academic excellence, and contribute to the continued success of our sixth-form learners.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level curriculum
• Teach for 2 hours per day, 3 days per week (6 hours weekly)
• Prepare students for internal assessments and external Cambridge examinations
• Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, and assessment materials
• Monitor and evaluate student progress while providing detailed feedback
• Create a supportive and motivating learning environment
• Work collaboratively with other teachers and academic staff
• Maintain accurate student records and communicate effectively with parents or guardians

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Biology (Master’s Degree is an added advantage)
• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in IGCSE and/or A-Level programmes
• Recognised teaching certification such as Cambridge Certification, PGCE, or TRCN registration
• Strong understanding of the Cambridge curriculum and assessment methods
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to use digital tools and technology to enhance teaching and learning

Additional Information

• This is a contract-based, part-time position
• Shortlisted applicants may be invited for a demonstration lesson
• Candidates who are available to start immediately or in the upcoming term are preferred

Salary

N120,000 – N150,000 per month
