Job Title: Internal Auditor

Locations: Abuja, Enugu and Lagos

About the Role

As an Internal Auditor at Artee Group, you will provide independent and objective evaluations of our governance, risk management, and internal control processes. Your work will help ensure transparency, accountability, and compliance across our operations, supporting the organization’s strategic goals and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement internal audit policies and procedures in line with regulations.
  • Maintain oversight of inventory receiving processes to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Conduct daily and periodic inventory counts to prevent fraud and reduce discrepancies.
  • Serve as an independent watchdog by upholding confidentiality, integrity, objectivity, and independence in all auditing activities.
  • Ensure compliance with operational guidelines and support strategic audits to evaluate business plans and outcomes.
  • Work closely with the MIS department on inventory control and participate in periodic stock counts across the network of stores.
  • Promote efficiency, transparency, and continuous improvement within the organization.
  • Provide clear insights and sound judgement to support better outcomes in day-to-day operations.
  • Align audit activities with organizational goals and manage relationships with all internal audit stakeholders.
  • Adopt an empowering leadership approach to guide and support employees and stakeholders to deliver their best work.
  • Complete assigned audit tasks daily and provide prompt, accurate reports.
  • Remain open to feedback and continually learn, adapt, and improve in your role.
Required Skills and Competencies
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) are an advantage.
  • Several years’ experience in accounting, finance, risk assessment, internal control, or auditing.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork.
  • Strong time management, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and document handling requirements.
  • Professional conduct and ability to handle confidential or sensitive information.
  • High level of integrity is essential.
