Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will assist in managing the company’s financial operations, keeping accurate records, and ensuring all processes comply with accounting standards. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers and is eager to grow in a structured business environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and post daily financial transactions accurately.
• Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and account reconciliations.
• Support accounts payable and receivable functions.
• Maintain and update accounting ledgers and journal entries.
• Contribute to month-end and year-end closing activities.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting or finance (experience in FMCG is an advantage).
• Professional certification such as ICAN or ACCA (in progress or partly qualified preferred).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Zoho Books.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and time management skills.

Salary

₦150,000 – ₦200,000 per month
