Position: Junior Accountant

Job Overview
We are looking for a Junior Accountant to help maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with financial regulations. This role will support finance operations, assist with internal reporting, and contribute to the efficiency of daily financial tasks across departments.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Record Keeping

• Record accurate general ledger entries and assist with monthly bank reconciliations
• Track company expenses and process transaction entries
• Handle staff reimbursements and manage petty cash systems
• Monitor and follow up on pending invoices and payments
• Prepare regular financial summaries for internal use

Operational and Compliance Support

• Assist with setting up and managing bank accounts and digital payment platforms
• Support timely tax and statutory filings
• Help with payments to vendors, freelancers, and procurement partners
• Work with teams to ensure budgets are followed
• Keep digital financial records well organized

Executive Financial Support

• Assist with administrative tasks such as investor reports, partner budgets, and forecasting
• Contribute to financial reporting for grants, board meetings, and partnership proposals

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline
• 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in an accounting or finance role
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets and familiarity with accounting tools, especially QuickBooks
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
• High attention to detail and accuracy in all financial tasks
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Effective communication and analytical problem-solving abilities

Salary
N500,000 monthly
