Job Title: Laboratory Operations Assistant
Location: Surulere, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time (Shift-based)
Reports To: Laboratory Coordinator

Role Overview
We are hiring a dependable and detail-focused Laboratory Operations Assistant to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations within a busy laboratory setting. This role supports logistics, hygiene maintenance, and the safe handling and transport of laboratory samples and materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport patient samples quickly and safely between departments
• Move and deliver lab supplies, consumables, and equipment as required
• Keep workstations, floors, and shared areas clean and hygienic
• Properly dispose of clinical and hazardous waste in line with safety procedures
• Assist in receiving, unpacking, and organizing lab inventory
• Provide general support to lab staff with basic, non-technical tasks
• Complete other assignments as directed by the Laboratory Coordinator or Management

Requirements

• Minimum qualification: SSCE/WAEC or equivalent
• Must live in or close to Surulere, Lagos
• Previous experience in a healthcare or laboratory setting is an advantage
• Understanding of sample handling and infection control is preferred
• Must be punctual, reliable, and able to follow instructions
• Professional attitude with a strong sense of responsibility
