Role Overview

The Legal Officer will be responsible for handling all legal and regulatory matters of the company. This includes ensuring compliance with relevant laws, drafting and reviewing contracts, and maintaining communication with regulatory bodies. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in corporate or compliance law and be familiar with cooperative or fintech regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with cooperative and financial regulations.
• Draft, review, and update contracts, policies, and other legal documents.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies and government authorities.
• Provide legal advice and support to management when needed.
• Maintain proper documentation and ensure legal processes are followed.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) and Call to Bar (BL).
• 3 to 5 years of experience in corporate or compliance law.
• Knowledge of cooperative or fintech-related regulations.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Must reside in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Salary

₦200,000 – ₦250,000 per month.
