Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Mathematics Teacher to join our secondary school faculty. The ideal candidate will deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that enhance students’ problem-solving, analytical, and reasoning skills. This role requires a teacher who can inspire confidence, encourage curiosity, and foster a genuine love for Mathematics while maintaining high academic standards in alignment with Greenland Hall’s mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons using approved Nigerian and/or British curricula.
• Teach across various secondary school levels (JSS–SSS) as assigned.
• Develop classwork, assignments, quizzes, and examinations to measure learning outcomes.
• Provide timely feedback to students and parents to promote academic growth.
• Prepare learners for national and international examinations such as BECE, WAEC, and IGCSE.
• Integrate technology and real-life problem-solving scenarios into lessons.
• Support students with learning challenges through tailored instructional strategies.
• Keep accurate records of student performance and lesson documentation.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school-wide events.
• Uphold school values, ethics, and discipline standards at all times.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related discipline.
• Teaching qualification such as PGDE or TRCN certification (mandatory).
• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a reputable secondary school.
• Strong knowledge of both Nigerian and British (Key Stage 3–5) curricula.
• Proficiency in digital learning tools and online education platforms.
• Excellent communication, classroom management, and mentoring skills.
• Passion for student success and continuous professional development.

Salary

₦100,000 – ₦150,000 per month (based on qualifications and experience).
