Job Summary
We are seeking experienced and dedicated English and Math Teachers to develop and deliver dynamic online lessons for students across various age groups and skill levels. As a teacher at BLASS Online High School, you will create comprehensive lesson plans, assessments, and educational resources to engage students and foster a passion for learning.
English Teacher Responsibilities
As an English Teacher, you will:
- Develop and teach curricula for English subjects including:
- Literature: Analyze and interpret literary texts, exploring themes, characters, and plot developments.
- Composition: Teach writing skills, including essay writing, creative writing, and technical writing.
- Grammar and Vocabulary: Deliver lessons on grammar, vocabulary, and language usage.
- Create engaging and interactive online content that encourages critical thinking and literary analysis.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records of student performance.
Math Teacher Responsibilities
As a Math Teacher, you will:
- Develop and teach curricula for mathematics, including:
- Algebra: Teach algebraic concepts such as equations, functions, and graphing.
- Geometry: Explore geometric concepts, including points, lines, angles, and shapes.
- Statistics and Probability: Create lessons on statistical analysis and probability.
- Develop engaging and interactive online content to promote problem-solving and critical thinking.
- Assess student progress, provide valuable feedback, and keep accurate records of student achievements.
General Requirements
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in English, Math, Education, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 – 5 years of teaching experience in English and/or Math.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt lessons for a diverse range of students, including different learning styles and age groups.
- In-depth knowledge of English and math concepts, theories, and pedagogy.
- Familiarity with digital learning platforms and educational tools.
