Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist to support diagnostic services and ensure accurate, timely test results. You will be responsible for performing routine and advanced laboratory procedures while upholding best practices in quality control, safety, and patient confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform pre-analytical tasks such as sample collection, separation, labeling, and packaging
• Operate and maintain diagnostic equipment and analyzers
• Carry out laboratory testing and report accurate results
• Identify critical test outcomes and escalate as required
• Calibrate equipment, review quality control data, and act on any anomalies
• Maintain and update lab records including worksheets, inventory logs, and maintenance reports
• Ensure timely delivery of lab results within agreed turnaround times
• Use LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) for tracking, input, approval, and reporting of results
• Protect patient data and ensure confidentiality
• Optimize the use of reagents, consumables, and lab supplies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS)
• Valid practicing license from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN)
• 1–3 years post-NYSC experience in a clinical or hospital-based lab
