Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Operations Manager to oversee daily farm operations within our livestock production division. The successful candidate will plan, coordinate, and manage all farm activities to ensure optimal animal health, productivity, and profitability. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and practical knowledge of modern livestock management.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic farm plans and budgets to enhance productivity and profitability.
• Supervise day-to-day farm activities, ensuring efficient operations and adherence to industry best practices.
• Monitor livestock health and welfare, ensuring timely veterinary care and disease prevention.
• Design and manage feeding, breeding, and health management programs for livestock.
• Oversee farm staff recruitment, training, supervision, and performance evaluation.
• Manage and allocate farm resources, including equipment, feed, and supplies.
• Ensure proper maintenance of machinery and farm equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of livestock production, feed inventory, and financial transactions.
• Monitor and report financial performance against approved budgets.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and environmental sustainability practices.
• Participate in the marketing and distribution of livestock products to meet market demand.

Qualifications and Skills

• BSc or HND in Animal Science, Agricultural Science, or any related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in livestock management and general farm operations.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Salary

N300,000 – N400,000 monthly, based on experience.
