About the Role
The Cost Control Engineer will play a crucial role in managing and monitoring project budgets, ensuring financial efficiency throughout the project lifecycle. We are seeking a qualified Civil Engineer with 7 to 10 years of experience in cost management within major construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage project budgets, considering labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs
- Monitor and track project expenses to ensure strict adherence to approved budgets
- Collaborate with project managers and key stakeholders to prepare accurate cost estimates for new and ongoing projects
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and related documents to propose cost-effective solutions
- Implement and maintain effective cost control procedures across all project phases
- Conduct regular reviews of project costs and recommend cost-saving measures when necessary
- Perform variance analysis by comparing budgeted costs to actual expenditures and investigating any significant deviations
- Provide clear and actionable financial reporting to project leadership
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in cost control within construction projects
- Strong background in budget management, cost estimation, and financial analysis
- Proficiency in cost control software and project management tools
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Valid international passport suitable for employment in Saudi Arabia
