Job Summary

As a Storekeeper and Purchaser at Prixair, you will be responsible for managing inventory, ensuring efficient warehouse operations, and maintaining accurate stock records. Your role involves receiving, storing, and distributing goods while coordinating with suppliers to ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Organize and label inventory in designated warehouse locations.
  • Maintain precise stock records, tracking inventory levels, movements, and transactions using inventory management software.
  • Monitor stock levels and initiate purchase orders when necessary.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch or internal use.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Perform regular stock audits and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the warehouse.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free storage area.
  • Assist with additional warehouse duties as required.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • University or Polytechnic diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Storekeeper, Warehouse Clerk, or Purchaser.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software (e.g., ERP, WMS).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety standards.
