We are currently hiring an Oracle Developer to join our technical team in Surulere, Lagos. This role is fully onsite and requires a professional with solid experience in database design, development, and performance optimization.

Role Overview

The Oracle Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining database systems that support business operations. The role involves writing efficient PL/SQL code, optimizing queries, managing data structures, and ensuring database reliability and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement Oracle database solutions using PL/SQL, including stored procedures, triggers, and packages.
• Optimize SQL queries and perform database performance tuning.
• Develop and maintain data models and schemas to ensure data accuracy and efficiency.
• Collaborate with software developers to integrate databases with business applications.
• Manage database security, backups, and recovery procedures.
• Troubleshoot database issues and improve system performance.
• Support data migration and integration tasks when required.
• Prepare and maintain documentation for database designs and configurations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Oracle SQL/PLSQL Developer Certification (OCA or OCP) is an advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Oracle database development.
• Strong skills in PL/SQL programming and SQL performance tuning.
• Experience with Oracle Database versions such as 11g or 12c.
• Good understanding of database normalization, indexing, and partitioning.
• Knowledge of Oracle Forms, Reports, or APEX is beneficial.
• Familiarity with ETL tools and data integration processes is an advantage.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and handle multiple tasks.

Salary

₦400,000 – ₦500,000 per month.
