Job Description
The Pen Attendant will handle the daily care and management of livestock, ensuring that animals remain healthy, well-fed, and housed in a clean environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Feed and provide water to animals as scheduled
- Clean and disinfect pens to maintain proper hygiene
- Monitor animals for signs of illness or injury and promptly report to the supervisor
- Assist in moving or restraining animals when required
- Keep tools and equipment in good working condition
- Comply with farm safety and hygiene guidelines
Requirements
- Relevant educational background
- Prior experience in livestock or farm work is an added advantage
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Must be willing to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays when necessary
