Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Procurement & FMCG Partnership Manager to manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, and ensure efficient supply chain operations. The role involves sourcing food and household products, building partnerships with FMCGs and local producers, and supporting large-scale trade fairs across different states in Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities

• Source food and household products directly from manufacturers, distributors, and producers.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with FMCGs, wholesalers, farmers, and logistics providers.
• Negotiate favorable pricing, rebates, and delivery terms while ensuring supplier reliability.
• Oversee supply allocation and ensure timely product delivery across multiple market locations.
• Manage inventory planning, order cycles, and stock availability.
• Conduct quality checks, cost analysis, and pricing verification.
• Work closely with logistics and operations teams for smooth warehouse and delivery coordination.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, vendor contracts, and performance reports.
• Identify and onboard local farmers and producers in different states to strengthen the supply chain.
• Monitor market trends to support pricing and buying decisions.
• Implement controls to prevent procurement fraud, stock loss, or vendor manipulation.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in FMCG procurement, retail distribution, or supply chain management.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities.
• Excellent understanding of the Nigerian FMCG and agricultural supply landscape.
• Ability to analyze pricing trends, supply risks, and profit margins.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and reporting skills.
• Must be proactive, organized, and reliable.
• Willingness to travel to different markets when required.

Preferred Experience

• Background in FMCG or retail distribution companies.
• Experience with retail chain procurement (e.g., Shoprite, Justrite, Spar, Minimie trucks, or trade marketing).
• Familiarity with agricultural or bulk food sourcing networks.
