About the NEST360 Program
NEST360 (Newborn Essential Solutions and Technologies) is a global initiative focused on reducing newborn deaths and helping countries reach Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3.2 by 2030. In Nigeria, NEST360 has operated since 2019, improving care in public and private hospitals through partnerships with key stakeholders including APIN, the Federal Ministry of Health, and selected state governments.

Role Summary
The Program Coordinator will support the Rice360 Country Director in planning, coordinating, and overseeing the implementation of NEST360 program activities. This role requires someone with strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills to ensure the program’s success across all implementation sites.

Key Responsibilities

Program Coordination and Planning

  • Assist in developing work plans and schedules for program activities
  • Coordinate across teams including Training, M&E, QI, Equipment, and Clinical to ensure activities run smoothly
  • Monitor program deliverables and report progress or delays to the Country Director

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Support preparations for stakeholder meetings, including those with government bodies and healthcare partners
  • Assist in coordinating national and subnational meetings and technical sessions
  • Document and share meeting notes, action points, and reports

Reporting and Documentation

  • Collect and organize implementation updates from thematic teams
  • Support the development of internal and donor reports
  • Maintain a structured and accessible filing system for all program-related documents

Operational Support

  • Handle logistics for program activities such as field visits and training sessions
  • Coordinate with finance and admin teams for processing travel, procurement, and other requests
  • Support monthly budget reviews and ensure alignment with financial plans

Collaboration and Field Support

  • Work closely with program leads to resolve challenges and align goals
  • Maintain strong communication with state health officials and facility leadership
  • Conduct field visits to monitor implementation and offer hands-on support

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field with a postgraduate qualification (preferably Master’s in Public Health or Development Studies)
  • Training in Project Management or Systems Strengthening is an advantage
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience managing health programs, especially in newborn or maternal health
  • Proven ability to collaborate with national, state, or local health systems
  • Familiarity with health facility assessments and program sustainability strategies
  • Strong skills in budgeting, reporting, and field coordination
  • Willingness to travel as required
